I’m Astrid!

I’m a yoga, meditation, and Inside Flow® teacher, and an Embodiment (somatic) coach based in Rémire-Montjoly, French Guiana.

Through my classes and coaching, I invite you to reconnect with your body, your breath, and your presence — to find more balance, clarity, and vitality in everyday life.

My offerings span across complementary approaches:

  • Yoga (Hatha, Yin, Vinyasa) to explore mindful movement and strengthen the connection between body and mind.

  • Inside Flow®, an  evolution of Vinyasa yoga choreographed to modern songs, offering a creative and liberating way to move and let go.

  • Meditation and breathwork to cultivate awareness, calm the mind, and nurture inner clarity.

  • Somatic and embodiment practices to deepen your connection to your body, sensations, and emotions, supporting a more grounded and lasting sense of well-being.

Each session is an invitation to slow down, turn inwards, and fully inhabit your body — an experience that feels both grounding and deeply restorative.

My Background

My name is Astrid. I grew up just outside Paris and spent much of my adult life in China, then in the United States.

🇬🇫 I first discovered French Guiana during a trip in 2019 — and instantly felt a deep pull to live there. In 2022, I took the leap: I left my job and my life in New York to follow that calling — “I’m moving to French Guiana.” 🦋
Over time, I’ve grown more and more roots with this land and its people. Today, I can truly say: “I’m here to stay.”

Yoga, meditation, and coaching have profoundly transformed my life. It’s that same path of transformation that I love sharing with others.

I completed my first yoga teacher training in 2018, and have continued to deepen my learning ever since — with around 1,000 hours of training so far, including 250 hours dedicated to meditation.

My teaching blends tradition and modernity — honoring the roots of yoga while staying connected to the realities of today’s world. Which is why one of my greatest passions is teaching Inside Flow®, an evolution of Vinyasa yoga choreographed to modern songs, which beautifully combines two things I love most: yoga and music.

Another core part of my journey has been integrating trauma-informed teaching, something I trained in right after my initial certification.

In 2023, I expanded my scope of work by becoming an Embodiment Coach — a somatic approach that helps people reconnect with their bodies, sensations, and emotions to create lasting, meaningful transformation.
